Alma del Fuego is drawn from a complex blend of premium long-fillers grown in Jalapa and the volcanic soils of Nicaragua’s Ometepe Island, where a pair of volcanoes, Concepción and Maderas, contribute to the crops’ profound richness. The Plasencia family ages its Ometepe tobaccos for seven years to achieve optimal smoothness, and Alma del Fuego is finished in an oily, reddish-brown Nicaraguan wrapper leaf from Jalapa. Notes of coffee bean, clove, pepper, and espresso layer the palate before a nutty finale leaves a touch of sweetness in its wake.
